xbox-game-pass-losing-these-6-games-in-october

More games are on the way to Xbox Game Pass in October, but as usual, you can expect a few other games to face the axe so that some digital room can be made for the new arrivals. Microsoft usually delivers this bad news--alongside the good news of fresh additions to the Game Pass library--in a dedicated post, but it looks like the Xbox app beat the blog post to the punch this month.

This month, you can say goodbye to samurai adventure Trek to Yomi, as well as The Legend of Tianding, Shenzhen I/O, Overwhelm, Eville, and Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. You'll have until October 16 to try these games out, and like in previous months, there'll be two waves of removals to expect. If you'd like to keep playing them, then you can buy them at a 20% discount as part of a perk that's included with Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.

September was a pretty great month for Xbox Game Pass as Lies of P, Starfield, Party Animals, Payday 3, and Cocoon were added to the service. This month, Gotham Knights, The Lamplighter's League, and Forza Motorsport kick off the October lineup. Later this year fans of the Like a Dragon series have plenty to look forward to as Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be a day-one release on November 9. Like a Dragon: Ishin will be added at a later date, and other confirmed day-one releases include Mineko's Night Market on October 26, Persona 5 Tactica on November 17, and Persona 3 Reload on February 2, 2024.

Microsoft also launched Game Pass Core in September, a budget-friendly version of Game Pass that offers a smaller library of 36 games for $10 a month.
